Nick Saban discusses Bryce Young bouncing back from INT, Alabama’s red-zone struggles

Alabama quarterback Bryce Young hasn’t made many mistakes this season, but an ill-timed interception in the 2nd quarter of the Crimson Tide’s loss at Texas A&M was a costly one.
With his team trailing 17-7, Young was picked off in the end zone by the Aggies’ Demani Richardson, and instead of Alabama (5-1, 2-1 SEC) cutting the lead to 3 the game’s momentum swung back to A&M.
Young played well the rest of the way, passing for 369 yards and 3 touchdowns, and on Monday during his weekly press conference Tide coach Nick Saban was more focused on how his star quarterback responded to the interception than the interception itself
“I thought he kept his poise and really stayed focused on the next play,” Saban said. “I don’t think that affected him.”

Saban said he was more concerned about his team’s inability to run the ball in the red zone against the Aggies.
When asked about what A&M did to take that away, Saban said, “I don’t know if there’s a good answer to that. I don’t know if we challenged them running as much as maybe we could. That’s one of the things that I think we need to work on trying to improve on.”
