Nick Saban seems like he’s getting tired of all the Lane Kiffin questions ahead of Alabama’s clash against Ole Miss.
On Saturday morning, College GameDay host Rece Davis asked Saban (once again) to describe his relationship with Kiffin following Kiffin’s departure from Alabama.
Saban’s initial reaction appears like he’s ready for these questions to be over.
“One of the things I think is unfair to the players is everybody’s made this about the coaches,” Saban said on College GameDay. “It’s really about the players. … I have a lot of respect for Lane. He did an outstanding job when he was here with us. We have a good relationship.”
The Saban-Kiffin relationship has been well publicized, and both coaches are likely looking forward to this week being over. So much talk has centered around Saban and Kiffin. The story that has taken a backseat has been the Heisman Trophy contending quarterbacks in Matt Corral and Bryce Young.
Perhaps the real story of this game is Alabama defensive coordinator Pete Golding against Ole Miss offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby.
