“Of the many challenges our country has faced in recent years, the COVID-19 virus worldwide pandemic may be the most significant,” Saban said in the video. “We are all in this together, and together, we can fight this invisible enemy by respecting social distancing and being diligent. Through our Nick’s Kids Foundation, Miss Terry and I are committed to helping families in the state of Alabama recover from the many obstacles created by this crisis.
“We have made a significant contribution, earmarked for the United Way community crisis fund. This fund has been established statewide specifically to give relief — including food, shelter and basic life needs. Call the 2-1-1 hotline and specify your needs caused by the impact of COVID-19. You will be considered for help through this community crisis fund. If you would like to donate, visit NicksKidsFoundation.org. God bless you all and Roll Tide.”
Classy move by the Saban family. Let’s hope this coronavirus outbreak is contained soon.
