Nick Saban praises Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart ahead of top 15 matchup

If Alabama wants to avoid a losing streak, they’ll have to contain Ole Miss’ solid sophomore quarterback. Alabama coach Nick Saban was effusive in his praise for Jaxson Dart.
Saban commended Dart for his football IQ and ability to grasp Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin’s offense.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Dart has completed 132 of his 216 passes for 1,911 yards, 14 touchdowns and 7 interceptions this season. The Kaysville, Utah native has a QBR of 78.7, good for No. 16 in the nation. Dart has thrown at least 3 touchdowns in 3 games this season (Texas A&M, Auburn, Vanderbilt).
Dart has also been successful on the ground. Dart rushed for 115 yards vs. Auburn on Oct. 15 and 95 yards vs. Texas A&M on Oct. 29.
One-loss Ole Miss is coming off a bye week. Two-loss Alabama most recently fell 32-31 at LSU for its first loss at Tiger Stadium since 2010.
No. 9 Alabama at No. 11 Ole Miss will take place on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS). Alabama holds the advantage in the all-time series 53-10-2 vs. Ole Miss. Alabama brings a 6-game winning streak against Ole Miss into the contest. The last victory in the series for Ole Miss dates back to 2015.
