North Carolina has its back against the wall on Sunday afternoon in the Chapel Hill super regional after losing to Arkansas on Saturday afternoon.

But, when the Tar Heels take on the Razorbacks on Sunday afternoon, they’ll be without a key player.

Per reporter Matt Jones, UNC 3B Mac Horvath had an emergency appendectomy on Saturday night and will be out for Game 2:

Horvath has appeared in 63 games for the Tar Heels this year, starting all of them. He’s hitting .268 with 18 home runs and 53 RBI. He also has a .961 fielding percentage at third base.

Can the Tar Heels overcome the loss of Horvath to force a decisive Game 3 on Monday?
