Notre Dame OF on Vols vs. Irish Super Regional: ‘If I were them, I’d be a little scared’

Notre Dame baseball made it to the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament by winning the Statesboro Regional. The Irish will be on the road again, taking on No. 1 national seed Tennessee in a Super Regional. Winning a best-of-3 series on the road against the No. 1 team is a tall task, but Notre Dame is feeling confident heading into Rocky Top.
Tennessee is 56-7 overall in 2022, including a 37-3 home record, having not dropped a series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium this year. Notre Dame outfielder Ryan Cole still thinks the Volunteers should probably be “a little scared” of a “dangerous” Irish team. Cole made his comments to reporters on Wednesday.
Notre Dame LF Ryan Cole was asked by @tnoieNDI what might be troubling about the Fighting Irish from the Tennessee perspective.
Cole: “I couldn’t tell you exactly what they see, but if I were them I’d be a little scared. I think we’re a very dangerous team.”

The Knoxville Super Regional begins Friday at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2. We’ll see how Cole and the Irish fare in what’s sure to be a hostile environment.
