Ohio State did not ban Dave Portnoy from its stadium for his Big Noon Kickoff debut this Saturday when Texas faces Ohio State, according to Yahoo Sports.
Ohio State Athletic Director Ross Bjork confirmed to Yahoo Sports’s Ross Dellenger that it was FOX’s decision not to have Portnoy on the main desk of Big Noon Kickoff.
Late Monday night, it was reported by Front Office Sports that Ohio State had chosen to ban Portnoy from entering its stadium. While he would still be on set for part of Big Noon Kickoff, he wouldn’t move inside the stadium with the rest of the crew for the end of the show.
Portnoy is a die-hard Michigan fan and alum who has trolled Ohio State numerous times through the years. Earlier this offseason, FOX hired Portnoy to appear regularly on Big Noon Kickoff.
Here’s how Portnoy responded to Dellenger’s report on social media:
Dellenger also spoke to a Big Ten representative who said they don’t expect Portnoy to appear on the main Big Noon Kickoff desk at any stadiums this year.
Big Noon Kickoff is set for Saturday at 12:00 p.m. ET for the battle between Ohio State and Texas.
