Ole Miss 2B Peyton Chatagnier steals home on wild sequence
By Andrew Olson
Published:
Ole Miss second baseman Peyton Chatagnier turned a stolen-base attempt into 3 steals without interruption, crossing home plate by catching the Alcorn State defense out of sorts.
Chatagnier reached on one-out a walk in the bottom of the 2nd inning. TJ McCants then flied out to center. With 2 outs, Chatagnier decided to take off for second base. He got in safely, then realized no one was covering third base. After Chatagnier stole third, Alcorn State did not think to cover the plate, so Chatagnier took off for home, crossing the plate. The play at third base was reviewed and confirmed.
