Ole Miss gets second four-star commit of the day who flips from Missouri
Two four-star commitments in a single day isn’t too shabby, especially when one of them flips from an SEC school that’s closer to his home state.
The Rebels are still on a roll on the recruiting trail, securing another big recruit for 2016 with offensive tackle Royce Newman, who flipped to Ole Miss from Missouri. The Rebels got their first of the day from receiver Tre Nixon.
While Nixon comes to Oxford from Florida, Newman comes from Illinois, where he played at Nashville Community High School. Newman is rated as the No. 33 offensive tackle in the Class of 2016, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
Newman had been committed to Missouri since June, but he took an official visit to Oxford on Friday, which obviously must have made an impact.
