Ole Miss has received a commitment from Miami transfer defensive back Chris Graves Jr.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound corner announced he’d entered the transfer portal on July 19. Over the weekend, he told On3’s Matt Zenitz he was down to Ole Miss and Texas A&M. He revealed his pick late Sunday evening. According to multiple reports, there is a belief that Graves could be deemed immediately eligible by the NCAA.

A 2022 recruit, Graves spent one season at Miami but did not appear in a game. He comes to the Rebels with 4 years of eligibility.

Graves has good length at the corner spot but is still working on filling out his frame. The Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot product has plenty of upside.

Coming out of high school, he was a 4-star prospect in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He was No. 161 in the national player rankings and slotted as the No. 7 athlete in the class. As a high school senior, he brought in 27 receptions for 500 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also posted 26 tackles, 4 pass breakups, an interception, and a pair of blocked kicks.
