Paul Finebaum recalls 2013, why Georgia-Auburn is Game of the Year in SEC (so far)

Paul Finebaum cautioned against predicting the end of the Auburn season, but he did recall that the Tigers have already done what they hope to do to close this season.
It was 2013 when the two nickname games, the “Prayer at Jordan-Hare” and “Kick Six” propelled Auburn to an unforgettable stretch run. That’s part of the reason Finebaum said on his show this week that this week’s Georgia-Auburn game is one of the most “eagerly-awaited we’ve seen in a long time, the Game of the Year so far in the Southeastern Conference.”
“Everything is at stake this weekend at Jordan-Hare Stadium,” Finebaum said. “You have Georgia trying to hold on. Yeah, we know they’re going to the SEC Championship Game. The national championship picture is where its fan base is really centered.”
Despite its early season start, Auburn is in a position to repeat 2013.
“Then there’s Auburn. Yeah, Auburn, has a shot at it as well,” Finebaum said. “Who would have ever thought after the early start, the stumble against Clemson and then the tough loss to LSU that Auburn would still be in the SEC and the national championship picture. All they have to do is beat the No. 1 team, and then two weeks later, beat another No. 1 team, and then go on to beat a top five, top 10 team in Georgia in the SEC Championship.
“Well, they did it four years ago. We all remember what happened, ‘Prayer at Jordan-Hare,’ ‘Kick Six,’ and then the SEC Championship win against Missouri, and then the title against Florida State.”
