Paul Finebaum sees a rematch in the College Football Playoff bracket in his newly-released top six bracket.
The official first bracket is due to be released Tuesday night on ESPN, but Finebaum on his ESPN2 show earlier in the day.
Finebaum’s bracket would mean a rematch of the Sept. 9 game at Notre Dame, which Georgia won, 21-20. The Alabama-Ohio State possible matchup would mean a rematch of the 2015 Sugar Bowl in a game Ohio State won 42-35 led by Cardale Jones.
Ohio State is 7-1 and has rebounded following a home loss to Oklahoma with six straight wins, including a narrow escape, 39-38, over Penn State on Saturday.
Georgia is undefeated and holds the best win of any of the top four teams.
Alabama, meanwhile, has been No. 1 throughout the season, but its season-opening win over Florida State has lost some shine because the Seminoles have stumbled to a 2-5 record.
Notre Dame has won six straight since the Georgia loss, including the last two weeks against Southern Cal and N.C. State.
