Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa is done for the year after suffering a hip injury last weekend. He has had surgery and will begin rehabbing the injury soon.

Has he played his last snap of college football? Tagovailoa will be a likely first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft if he decides to enter.

On Saturday morning’s SEC Nation on the SEC Network, analyst Paul Finebaum said he thinks Tua will indeed go pro (via 247Sports):

“I think he’s going to come out,” Finebaum said. “I’ve heard arguments on both sides, and they both make a lot of sense. For a guy that could have gone, probably, first in the draft last year, it’s a long time to sit there and see all the money go past. … Last Saturday, a lot of us were looking at our phones, looking at our televisions wondering if he would ever play football again. Today, we’re debating whether he’ll be at the middle or the bottom of the first round. That’s a big leap.”

Will Tua be healthy enough to work out at the NFL Combine or a pro day? We’ll see as he begins his rehab.

For now, he’s supporting his Alabama teammates as they finish up the regular season.
