Photo: Laquon Treadwell, with a little help, throws out first pitch at Twins game
The Minnesota Twins welcomed former Ole Miss star and Vikings 2016 first-round pick Laquon Treadwell to town the best way they know how – having the receiver throw out the first pitch of the Yankee game Saturday.
But Treadwell didn’t throw out the first pitch alone, as he was joined on the mound by his young daughter Madison:

The Twins organization also welcomed the Vikings’ second-round pick Mackenzie Alexander to the city during the game:

After being selected as the No. 23 overall selection in the latest NFL draft, Treadwell enters into a very good situation with the Vikings. Minnesota won’t ask Treadwell to carry the offense early in his career as running back Adrian Peterson is still the star of the offense and young quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has emerged as a promising talent.
While being selected in the latter half of the first round likely wasn’t what Treadwell had in mind when he left Ole Miss a year early, he may have landed in the best possible place to ensure his success at the next level.
