Chris Brooks discusses mess at Ole Miss, Dan Mullen’s style, accuracy of ‘Last Chance U’

The Magnolia State is the dominant story in the SEC right now, as the mess at Ole Miss is only going to help rival Mississippi State.
In the latest installment of the Saturday Down South podcast, I was joined by Chris Brooks of ESPN Radio 105.9 The Zone in Jackson. On top of his on-the-air functions, he’s the publisher of Mississippi Gridiron Magazine covering Rebels, Bulldogs, JUCO and high school football.
Brooks talked at length about the scandal surrounding former Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze in Oxford, which will likely get worse before it gets better. Interim coach Matt Luke has been put in a tough spot, plus losses are already piling up on the recruiting trail. Meanwhile, Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen is sitting pretty in Starkville.
