Sometimes it’s tough to predict success in college football. Auburn QB Jeremy Johnson was considered a likely star prior to the season, but struggled. Missouri’s Maty Mauk never got untracked on or off the field.

With all that said, here are some predictions for breakout players in 2016.

  • Alabama: CB Minkah Fitzpatrick
  • Arkansas: WR Dominique Reed
  • Auburn: WR Kyle Davis
  • Florida: DT Caleb Brantley
  • Georgia: WR Terry Godwin
  • Kentucky: CB Chris Westry
  • LSU: LB Kendell Beckwith
  • Mississippi State: QB Nick Fitzgerald
  • Missouri: WR J’Mon Moore
  • Ole Miss: WR Quincy Adeboyejo
  • South Carolina: LB T.J. Holloman
  • Tennessee: WR Josh Malone
  • Texas A&M: S Armani Watts
  • Vanderbilt: LB Zach Cunningham
