Arkansas coach Bret Bielema wants to win in the trenches with size and power. He got some help in that department when three-star offensive lineman Dalton Wagner out of Richmond, Illi. committed to the Razorbacks late Friday morning.

There’s no sensationalizing Dalton’s stature. At 6-foot-9, 312 pounds, he will instantly become one of the largest players on the roster once he arrives in 2017. Ranked as the No. 60 offensive tackle in the nation from his class, Dalton chose Arkansas over 11 other scholarship offers, including California, Indiana, Louisville, Utah, Vanderbilt, and others.
Dalton says he was certain about where he wanted to go after a recent visit to Fayetteville.
“I knew Thursday after mom and the whole family got to go through the visit,” Wagner told 247Sports. “The main thing was I wanted to get mom down there to see how special of a place it is. For me it’s everything about it. The athletic program and academic program and the entirety surrounding all of it. The put so much time and dedication into you the athlete and with the academic staff there is no excuses at Arkansas.”
He can’t get to Arkansas soon enough.
“It’s truly going to be an experience being able to work with [coach Bielema and OL coach Kurt Anderson] and be coached by both of them and the whole staff for that matter. They get along so well and they’re like one big person. I’ll be able to break new boundaries and be the best I can be. I’m really looking forward to that.”
With a total of 19 commits, the Razorbacks now have the No. 19-ranked recruiting class for ’17 in the nation, which is good for No. 9 in the SEC.
