The Ole Miss Rebels lost two All-Americans from their 2014 secondary to graduation in Senquez Golson and Cody Prewitt, but they took their first step to reloading the back-end of the Landshark defense by signing four-star safety Armani Linton on National Signing Day.

Linton is the first four-star high school prospect to sign with the Rebels in 2015, following in the footsteps of two four-star JUCO signees in cornerback Tony Bridges and defensive tackle D.J. Jones.

A native of Walnut, Miss., Linton is regarded as the No. 14 high school safety in the class and the No. 6 prospect from the state of Mississippi. At 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, Linton has great length for a safety and room to bulk up as well.

He first committed to Ole Miss last June.
