As many teams start to look more into their 2019 recruiting classes, they’ll likely take one player from Alabama off their lists.

That’s because 3-star 2019 DT Jessie Altman is facing some very serious charges of capital murder in his home state, connected with the slaying of 18-year-old Aaron “A.J.” Huff last week.

According to GadsdenTimes.com, Altman and two others — Broderick Lawrence Pearson, 18, and Lonterry Orlando Harrison, 17 — were arrested for the murder.

Per the 247Sports composite, Altman is the No. 38 defensive tackle in the class of 2019 and the No. 18 overall recruit from the state of Alabama.

Obviously, these charges are much more important than football at a time like this, and it remains to be seen what actually comes of this case.

Five people have now been arrested in connection with the killing, and it may take a long time for the court system to sort it out.
