Auburn is getting several key players back on defense, so the Tigers should once again have a stout defensive unit in 2019.
However, they will lose some depth, as a junior defensive lineman has reportedly entered the NCAA transfer portal.
According to Auburn reporter Jay Tate, junior DT Jauntavius Johnson is now free to be contacted by other schools regarding a potential transfer:
Auburn DT Jauntavius Johnson now is listed in the NCAA Transfer Portal. He played 13 snaps as a junior in 2018.

With guys like Derrick Brown, Marlon Davidson and others returning along the defensive line, Johnson wasn’t likely to see an increase in playing time.
Johnson was a 4-star defensive tackle in the 2015 recruiting class, per the 247Sports rankings. Where he ends up next remains to be seen.
