A year after reporting a rather large deficit, Auburn’s athletic department saw its revenue boom.

According to a report from AL.com’s Brandon Marcello, Auburn made $9.2 million after reporting a deficit of $13.6 million, a $22.8 million turnaround.

One of the reasons for the dramatic increase in 2015 was the SEC Network, which helped the Tigers earn more than $27 million in broadcasting rights, according to Marcello. The football program alone was aided big time in that area, seeing its earnings go from about $4.77M in 2014 to about $15.3M in 2015.

Auburn’s football program alone raked in $46 million in revenues.
