It wasn’t a great day for Missouri recruiting on National Signing Day, but it was an even worse day for one of its touted commitments.

According to STLToday.com’s Dave Matter, three-star defensive end Marvin Terry is currently in Dallas County Jail after a Jan. 25 arrest.

Terry is facing three separate counts of suspected assault: 1) assault causing bodily injury/family violence, 2) family violence assault for impeding breath or circulation, 3) charge of continuous family violence assault within 12 months, plus a charge of insufficient bond.

Terry, who committed to Missouri in December as new head coach Barry Odom’s first pledge, is rated as the No. 31 weakside defensive end in the Class of 2016, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

A source later told Matter that the Tigers were no longer pursuing Terry.
