Roddy White calls out officiating after Tennessee’s loss to Georgia: ‘Some BS’

Roddy White, the former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver, wasn’t a fan of the officiating during Tennessee’s 31-17 loss to Georgia on Saturday.
Volunteers fans and head coach Josh Heupel were in an uproar in the third quarter as their team was called for a facemask penalty, pushing the Bulldogs further up the field on their way to an eventual touchdown.
After the game, Heupel was asked about the call but didn’t offer much in the way of comment. White, who played 11 seasons in the NFL with the Falcons, had plenty to say about the officiating during the contest, as you can see below:
I feel bad for Tennessee these penalizes that where called on them tonight was some bs. Nobody would beat Georgia with these calls.

While White’s certainly entitled to his opinion, the Vols didn’t help their own cause against the Bulldogs’ defense, getting shut out in the second half after going into the locker room tied 17-17. They went punt-punt-punt-fumble on their four offensive possessions over the final two frames.
In the end, the Dawgs continued their run of dominance over the Vols: Tennessee has now dropped the last 8 meetings between the two teams. And Saturday’s loss could potentially mean the end of the Vols’ College Football Playoff hopes as they’ll drop from their No. 7 spot when the updated rankings are released on Tuesday.
Tennessee ends the season against UTEP and Vanderbilt.
