Kirby Smart said Wednesday morning that Georgia’s defense needs to continue to improve even though the Bulldogs are coming off a dominating victory of Arkansas.
Georgia won 37-0 and held Arkansas to just 9 first downs, 87 passing yards and 75 rushing yards. The Razorbacks were also just 3-for-12 on third down.
Asked about Smart’s comment, which came earlier on the SEC coaches media teleconference, Pittman responded.
“We were not a threat to them. … We had one nice option run and that’s about it during the game,” Pittman said. “I think coach was saying each week, you have to get better. … He just continues to push his team because even if you’re one of the best teams in the country, the only way you’re going to win it all is to get better every week. That’s what we’re trying to do as well.”
