CBS’s coverage of SEC football will look a little different this fall as the network has announced that Jamie Erdahl will be the new sideline reporter for the “SEC on CBS” games in 2018. The main booth of Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson will remain intact. Erdahl replaces former sideline reporter Allie LaForce.

If you are unfamiliar with Erdahl, she has been a part of CBS’s coverage since 2014.

According to sports media insider Richard Deitsch of The Athletic, Erdahl was chosen after LaForce and CBS could not agree on a new deal:

CBS offered up the following comment on the move in a prepared statement:

“We are excited to add Jamie to our SEC ON CBS coverage,” said Harold Bryant, Executive Producer and Senior Vice President, Production, CBS Sports. “Since joining CBS, Jamie has established herself as a talented, versatile and knowledgeable reporter. She is a rising star and someone we know that will connect with and earn the respect from the coaches, players and passionate fans in the SEC.”

The first “SEC on CBS” game this season will be the Tennessee-West Virginia game from Charlotte. The Week 2 game will feature Georgia’s trip to South Carolina and Week 3 features LSU’s trip to Auburn.
