Not much changed at the top of the Football Writers Association of America-National Football Foundation’s Super 16 Poll following a relatively quiet Week 12.

No. 1 Alabama and No. 5 Georgia retained their spots in the standings, with the Crimson Tide still drawing all 51 first-place votes. LSU moved up two places to No. 8 thanks to a West Virginia loss and a near-loss by Ohio State, while Florida also moved up two spots to No. 13.

The SEC’s four teams among the top 16 were the most for any conference, and the league nearly placed a fifth team in the rankings — Kentucky received the most votes outside the poll with 44. Mississippi State (21 votes), Missouri (7), Auburn (4) and Texas A&M (2) also impressed enough to garner a bit of recognition.
