Who showed out on gameday during Week 11 of the SEC season? Here’s a quick glance:
AUBURN: A tough-luck loser after the Tigers dropped it on the turf twice in the final three minutes, Cameron Artis-Payne ran for a career-high 221 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. He leads the SEC in rushing this season.
ALABAMA: Quarterback Blake Sims had ice in his veins in crunch time at LSU, helping the Crimson Tide tie the game in the final seconds with a late field goal before winning it in overtime with a 6-yard touchdown pass to DeAndrew White.
FLORIDA: The Gators’ starting secondary deserves a roll of stickers for their four-interception performance in Nashville.
GEORGIA: Hutson Mason helped dissect the Kentucky defense with a career-high four touchdown passes, completing 13-of-16 passes for 174 yards during a 63-31 victory. Isaiah McKenzie was nasty on special teams, returning a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns.
KENTUCKY: Running back Stanley Williams picked up nearly half of the the Wildcats’ rushing total, finishing with 100 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.
LSU: As a unit, John Chavis’ defense played physical throughout and helped stonewall Alabama’s attack. Linebacker Kendell Beckwith had a monster night.
MISSISSIPPI: There were a couple offensive players worthy of helmet stickers, but Mark Dodson’s career day was extra special. He tallied 128 yards rushing on just three touches and scored twice.
MISSISSIPPI STATE: Dak Prescott tallied 260 yards of total offense and three touchdowns including a nifty 48-yard scoring run during the second quarter.
TEXAS A&M: Oft-criticized last week after a dreadful outing against Louisiana-Monroe, quarterback Kyle Allen bounced back in heroic fashion tossing four touchdown passes in the first half to help the Aggies build a 35-17 lead at Auburn.
VANDERBILT: Tight end Steven Scheu caught five passes for 71 yards and a touchdown.
