SEC Network provides great 1998 reference in Knoxville ‘weather’ report

It’s a great day for afternoon football in Knoxville, Tennessee and the Volunteers have responded with a record-breaking half of football on offense.

The pre-game weather graphic pointed out the perfect temperature (72 degrees) with a slim chance of rain and a little bit of the humidity.

But it was the “feels like” portion of the graphic that brought on a little sense of nostalgia.

After last week’s 52-49 win over Alabama, it is starting to feel like it did back in 1998 when the Volunteers ran the table and finished 13-0. Tennessee beat Florida State, 23-16, in the 1999 Fiesta Bowl to win the national championship.

Tennessee fans…are you starting to feel a little sense of nostalgia creeping in with every Volunteers victory?
