By Rolando Rosa
Published:
The SEC Network was “Out of Pocket” for its graphic fail on the name of LSU’s starting quarterback.
The SEC Network show featuring Alyssa Lang and Andraya Carter tried to add some Louisiana flair for Jayden Daniel but the remix had many on social media shaking their heads.
Jeauxyden Deauxniels was universally panned, to say the least.
Afterward, Lang took to Twitter to joke about the mishap.

LSU fans liked the gesture but expected more accuracy with the delivery.
Appreciate the sentiment… but somebody needs to tell them.??#LSU#GeauxTigers pic.twitter.com/mimNga8bJZ

LSU’s Twitter account got in on the action too, joking about the difficulty of the new name.
We'll forgive him! Got a headache trying to read JD5's name ?

One LSU fan even explained the proper way to use “eaux”.
@AlyssaLang the "-eaux" suffix makes an "O" sound (Joe=Jeaux). We appreciate the love but just stick to JD5 with the rest of the fan base lol Love the show btw ❤️ https://t.co/godiW1WtGc

However you decide to say his name, what can’t be debated is how awesome Daniels has been this season in Baton Rouge. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound junior has passed for 1,994 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 1 interception with a QBR of 80.8.
No. 7 LSU is coming off a 32-31 overtime victory against then No. 6 Alabama. This was LSU’s first victory against Alabama at home since 2010. In the victory, Daniels completed 22 of his 32 passes for 182 yards, 2 touchdowns, and no interceptions.
Next up for LSU is a road game at Arkansas on Saturday (12 p.m. ET/ESPN). LSU holds the advantage 42-23-2 in the all-time series.
