SEC Players of the Week: Fournette wins third straight offensive award

LSU running back Leonard Fournette has been named the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Week for his 244-yard effort during Saturday’s win at Syracuse, the third consecutive time the sophomore standout has earned the honor.

Fournette has set new career-highs in rushing every game this season and takes on Eastern Michigan next with a chance to take the national rushing lead – despite playing in one fewer game.

Mississippi State linebacker Richie Brown earned top defensive honors after registering 13 tackles, two sacks and three TFLs during his team’s win at Auburn.
