Well, we’ve never seen this before, especially from a ranked team.
It took SMU a long, long time to crack back into the top 25 — ranked No. 24 this week, and it had what could be the most embarrassing play of the year Saturday night against Tulsa.
With Tulsa leading 10-6, it kicked off to SMU; however, SMU’s players never recovered the ball before it bounced into the end zone. Tulsa then recovered it in the end zone for the easy touchdown.
The head-scratching score made it 16-6 in favor of Tulsa.
