South Carolina picked up its first tight end commitment and 22nd overall recruit for the Class of 2016 on Thursday.

According to The State in Columbia, 6-foot-3, 237-pounder Robert Tucker out of Atlanta has committed to the Gamecocks. Tucker is a three-star prospect who can play tight end and linebacker, but coach Will Muschamp wants him specifically for the offensive side of the ball, according to the newspaper.

Tucker tweeted on Jan. 13 that he had been offered by South Carolina, and he’s committed to the school eight days later. Several other schools offered him such as Louisville, Marshall, Memphis, Minnesota and NC State.
