Though Wyatt hasn’t been handed a grade by 247Sports, Scout, or Rivals — not yet, at least — the 6-foot-4, 260-pound strong-side defensive end from Decatur, Ga. looks to be an under-the-radar prospect that coach Will Muschamp wanted to target before other bigger Power 5 programs began to notice.
Wyatt committed to the Gamecocks almost immediately after he was offered, despite holding offers from NC State, Oregon State, and USF. The class of 2017 recruit could provide instant depth for a depleted defensive line once he arrives to campus next year (assuming he sticks with USC).
He becomes the 10th member of Muschamp’s first full class, which currently ranks No. 32 nationally and 9th in the conference.
