Beat, even competing with Georgia was going to be difficult enough for South Carolina. On Tuesday, head coach Shane Beamer announced it would be that much more difficult.
South Carolina announced linebacker Mohamed Kaba and defensive end Jordan Strachan would miss the remainder of the season earlier this week. Beamer announced that 5 Gamecocks are questionable for Week 3.
David Spaulding, Cam Smith, Corey Rucker, RJ Roderick and Boogie Huntley are “all questionable for this week” Beamer says.

On a more positive note, Beamer also insinuated that DK Joyner and Darius Rush are likely to play Saturday.
On positive injury news for the Gamecocks, Beamer says DK Joyner and Darius Rush are “both fine” and mentioned both players practiced Sunday + again today.

The loss of Cam Smith hurts especially for the Gamecocks. He’s a strong presence in South Carolina’s secondary and will be needed against a talented group of Georgia wide receivers.
