We noticed earlier this spring that South Carolina was wearing a new, lighter shade of garnet with its helmets. That may not the only changes coming for the Gamecocks’ headgear in 2016; it looks like they could also be sporting an all-black, matte-style helmet as well.

It’s not likely that South Carolina will emerge as the SEC favorite in Year 1 under coach Will Muschamp, but it will be in the running for the best-looking team no doubt. These helmets are sick.
Not only did the Gamecocks show off these new helmets, but Muschamp also said the Gamecocks have enough talent to win the SEC East in 2016.
