It’s rivalry week across college football and some SEC teams will be in the mix with annually heated contests.

ESPN’s Stanford Steve offered his betting thoughts during a segment on WJOX and “McElroy and Cubelic In the morning” on the Iron Bowl between Alabama-Auburn and the Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate game with Georgia-Georgia Tech.

Stanford Steve expects Georgia to win handily and wonders if that’ll lead to backups seeing significant time.

“Especially with Georgia, they’ve got a lot to play for. The meaningfulness is just about to start. You get a good wakeup call with your rival, who you should pound,” Stanford Steve said. “But then in the second half what happens? The starters get pulled knowing the SEC championship is next week.”

Meanwhile in the Iron Bowl, Stanford Steve is curious about Nick Saban’s rotations on Senior Day.

“What’s going to happen? Is this the last time we’re going to see some of these guys in the Alabama uniform?” Stanford Steve said. “How long will Coach Saban leave some of those guys out there?”

Stanford Steve believes Auburn will hang around, and that’s why he’s taking the under.

“Auburn, we’ve seen it. They’ve played with spirited effort since Carnell got the gig. This is asking a lot…I think the play in the Iron Bowl is the under…Just looking at the number and seeing Auburn going on the road. If they have any chance of hanging around, they’ve got to keep it low scoring.”

Georgia-Georgia Tech is set for Saturday at noon ET from Athens (ESPN). The Iron Bowl will also be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. (CBS).
