In-state defensive back Jalen Jordan commits to Ole Miss

Ole Miss has hit the ground running toward building a nice 2019 recruiting class as the Rebels have just added commitment No. 8 less than a week after the 2018 class became official. Interestingly enough, all eight prospects are in-state recruits.

Coming off an unofficial visit to Oxford, Lake Cormorant, Miss., native Jalen Jordan was ready to pledge to the 2019 class. He announced his commitment Monday morning.

The 5-foot-10, 168-pound athlete does not currently have a recruiting ranking. Despite his lack of a rating, he has had some solid production on the field, registering a whopping 141 tackles last season to go along with five sacks.

While Jordan may be a bit undersized to play defensive back in the SEC, he appears to make up for any less than ideal measurements by adding a level of physicality to his game not often seen from a DB at the high school level.
