DaQuives Beck is staying home. The blue-chip linebacker has decided to remain in his home state and play for Texas A&M.

Out of Carthage (Texas) High School, Beck is listed as measuring 6-2 and 215 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Beck is rated 4-stars, the No. 11 linebacker, No. 25 player in the Lone Star State and No. 196 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.

Texas is one of the most recruited states in the country, so it’s no surprise that Beck drew notable interest as one of the state’s top linebackers. During his recruitment, Beck collected scholarship offers from 20 programs, including Arkansas, Baylor, Mizzou, Houston, Mississippi State, Oregon, Ole Miss, SMU, USC, Tennessee and Texas.

Beck told Hayes Fawcett that it came down to Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, with Mike Elko‘s staff winning his commitment.

With Beck on board, Texas A&M is now up to 22 verbal commitments in its 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 4 nationally on the Composite. A&M fans who may not follow Carthage football can get a preview of what Beck brings to Aggieland by checking out his 2024 highlights in the Hudl highlight reel below:
