Steve Spurrier explains why Alabama can’t be counted out of CFP title race just yet

Former Heisman Trophy winner Steve Spurrier was a guest on the Paul Finebaum Show on Thursday and was his usual entertaining self.
In the process of a discussion about the current football season and his thoughts on Tennessee (he’s impressed), the former head coach at Florida and South Carolina also reminded fans not to count out Alabama too quickly.
Spurrier still believes the Crimson Tide will factor into the championship picture.
"Don’t forget about Alabama in terms of winning it all, and winning the SEC. They still got ball players all over the place. That one loss may have shaken them up."
— Brandon Zimmerman (@BZSEC) October 27, 2022
Spurrier makes a great point about the way Alabama plays after a loss. Of the six national titles that the Crimson Tide has won under Nick Saban, four of those teams had one loss. It’s seems like a loss helps Alabama refocus and one can argue that the Crimson Tide are much more dangerous when they are chasing the pack instead of leading it.
What do you think fans? Is Spurrier right to say the Crimson Tide are very much still in the championship race?
