Eric Berry is being honored during Tennessee’s contest on Saturday against visiting Texas A&M with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute.

The former safety and member of the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame class played for the Vols from 2007-09. During that time, Berry was a back-to-back unanimous All-American, while also capturing the Jim Thorpe Award, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and the Jack Tatum Trophy twice.

In honor of the recognition and his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame, Tennessee shared an incredible tribute video about the 34-year-old Berry.

The NFF issued a statement on Berry’s impactful gridiron career in the collegiate ranks.

“A two-time unanimous First Team All-American, Eric Berry quickly etched his name among the all-time greats in Tennessee history with his acrobatic interceptions and defensive prowess,” NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell said. “We are thrilled to honor him at Neyland Stadium as a member of the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Class.”

As an NFL player with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2010-18, Berry was selected to the league’s 2010s All-Decade Team, as well as earning 5 trips to the Pro Bowl and 3 First-team All-Pro selections.

Tennessee will look to make Berry proud as they aim for a third consecutive victory since falling to Florida. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m. EST (CBS).
