Friday’s Tennessee-Iona baseball game has been like batting practice for the Volunteers. Trey Lipscomb has been particularly productive, becoming the fourth player in UT history to hit for the cycle. Lipscomb needed just 5 innings, going 5-for-5 in those trips to the plate.
Lipscomb started with a 3-run home run in the first inning, followed by an RBI double in the second and a single in the third before doubling again in the fourth. He saved the toughest hit for last, completing his cycle with a triple.
The triple to complete the cycle!
Oh, @tlips03 is also a casual 5-for-5 with NINE RBIs…

Tennessee leads 27-1 in the top of the 9th inning. Lipscomb was pinch hit for after getting his cycle and 9 RBIs.
Mike Wilson of the Knoxville News Sentinel writes that the last Vol to hit for the cycle was Jordan Rodgers against Kentucky on April 1, 2016.
