Terry Wilson says he hasn’t been told of Kentucky’s newfound quarterback battle

Mark Stoops started his Monday media circuit by claiming he planned to stand by Terry Wilson as Kentucky’s starting quarterback. Later in the day, though, the Wildcats coach said he intends to play “many different guys” under center against Missouri on Saturday.
If a Kentucky quarterback carousel is indeed about to start spinning, that’s news to Wilson.
The sophomore said Tuesday that he hasn’t been informed that there will be a battle for the starting spot.

“I know that we’re competing,” Wilson said. “We’ve always battled, as soon as I got here.”
Wilson completed just 3 of 9 passes for 18 yards and a touchdown in the No. 12 Wildcats’ 14-7 win against Vanderbilt last Saturday. He remained a threat on the ground with 91 yards on 12 carries, but Stoops is apparently looking for more out of his passing attack as Kentucky makes a push for the SEC East title.
How will the Wildcats (6-1, 4-1 SEC) handle their quarterback situation when they travel to face Missouri (4-3, 0-3) at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday? We’ll have to wait until then to find out.
