Texas A&M cornerback Will Lee III is headed to the NFL.
Lee made that announcement on Monday afternoon via On3’s Hayes Fawcett:

This decision is not a huge surprise. Lee was one of the best cornerbacks in the SEC this season. According to Pro Football Focus, he recorded 8 pass breakups and only allowed a target completion rate of about 54 percent.
In his career with the Aggies, Lee amassed 92 tackles, 18 pass deflections and 2 interceptions. He also forced 2 fumbles during his time in College Station.
Lee had one more season of eligibility, but instead will head to the NFL. He has a chance to be the first Texas A&M cornerback to be drafted since Jaylon Jones went in the seventh round back in 2023.
Looking ahead to next season, Texas A&M will need to replace Lee’s production at cornerback. It’s possible Mike Elko will look for internal solutions to that program, but the Aggies could also take a look at the transfer corners who are available. The portal officially opens on Jan. 2.
