A former Georgia staffer is now part of Jimbo Fisher’s Texas A&M program.

Jeff Tarpley of 247Sports noticed that Bryant Gross-Armiento updated his Twitter page to indicate he is now a defensive assistant for the Aggies. Gross-Armiento still has a GeorgiaDogs.com page for when he was a quality control assistant with the defense. On his LinkedIn page, Gross-Armiento lists his role at both UGA and Texas A&M as “Assistant Defensive Backs & Safeties Coach.”

The 247Sports article mentions that Gross-Armiento could be helpful in Texas A&M’s pursuit of 5-star defensive lineman Shemar Stewart. Gross-Armiento is from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, not far from Stewart’s hometown of Opa Locka in Miami-Dade County.

Stewart is currently uncommitted. He is rated the No. 9 player overall in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite. Stewart reportedly attended Texas A&M’s Saturday recruiting pool party.
