Texas A&M lands 2027 commitment from elite edge, top-50 prospect

One of the top edge rushers in the 2027 recruiting class has pledged to play in Aggieland.
Zyron Forstall is the newest Texas A&M commitment. He announced his plans to play for Mike Elko‘s program on Tuesday via social media.

Out of the prominent IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, Forstall is listed as meauring over 6-3 and 225 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Forstall is rated 4-stars, the No. 5 edge rusher, No. 5 recruit in the state of Florida and No. 42 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.

As one would expect, Forstall’s talent had many of the country’s top programs recruiting him. He has collected scholarship offers from 27 schools, including Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon and Texas.
Elko and his staff are off to a hot start recruiting for 2027. With Forstall in the fold, Texas A&M now has 11 verbal pledges for a class that ranks No. 2 overall nationally on the Composite.
