Texas A&M linebacker says farewell to Aggieland after 6 seasons with team

Texas A&M fans probably feel like Aaron Hansford has been an Aggie forever. After 6 seasons, Hansford has said his farewell to Aggieland.
Hansford is getting ready for the 2022 NFL Draft. He shared a farewell note on Friday, thanking Jimbo Fisher, former defensive coordinator Mike Elko and others.

Hansford joined Texas A&M in 2016. In his first year on campus, he played in just 2 games, redshirting the rest of the year due to injury. In 2017, he played in 7 games, recording 3 catches for 39 yards as a receiver. The injury bug got Hansford again in 2018, as he missed the season. Ahead of the 2019 season, Hansford switched from receiver to linebacker. In his first season on defense, he made 15 tackles over 13 games. In 2020, he started 9 games and finished second on the team in tackles with 49. This past season, he played in all 12 games, starting 11. Hansford led the team with 89 tackles in 2021.
