Texas A&M WR Mario Craver named one of CFB’s fastest players in Week 2

Wide receiver Mario Craver is quickly proving to be an exceptional transfer portal addition for Texas A&M. The sophomore already has 2 terrific showings with the Aggies this season and on 1 of his plays last weekend, he really hit the turbo boost.
During his 72-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter of the 44-22 victory vs. Utah State, the former Mississippi State product cranked it up to 21.8 miles per hour, the second-highest speed of Week 2 according to Reel Analytics.
The 5-foot-9 Craver finished with 5 receptions for 114 yards along with that touchdown. In the 42-24 Week 1 win vs. UTSA, Craver tallied 8 receptions for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Craver has already nearly eclipsed his stats from 2024. During his lone season at Mississippi State, Craver had 17 receptions for 368 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Craver was ranked as the No. 13 wide receiver and No. 58 overall player in the transfer portal according to 247Sports. Coming out of high school in Alabama, Craver was the No. 24 in-state prospect and No. 42 wide receiver in the nation.
Craver and No. 16 Texas A&M (2-0) will take on host No. 8 Notre Dame in a major Week 3 matchup on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET/NBC, Peacock).
