On Thursday, the Associated Press celebrated 100 years of its All-America college football team by releasing an All-Time All-America squad.

Florida landed the most important position on the team, with the first-team quarterback spot going to program legend Tim Tebow.

Tebow’s 2007 season is considered one of the best seasons ever for a college quarterback. He won the Heisman Trophy as the first sophomore to win the award. He had 3,286 passing yards and 32 touchdowns against just 6 interceptions. He also had a 66.9% completion percentage. Then, he was a bulldozer on the ground, finishing with 895 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns on 210 carries.

This is Tim Tebow’s latest career achievement award, following his election to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023. He became the 13th Gator to enter the Hall. In addition to the Heisman, Tebow’s 2007 campaign also earned him the Maxwell Award, the Davey O’Brien Award, and the AP Player of the Year Award.

It is worth mentioning that since 2007 was Tebow’s sophomore season, he had two more massive years in college. In 2008, he threw for 30 touchdowns against 4 interceptions and had 2,746 yards through the air, which helped lead Florida to a national title win that year.

Then, in 2009, Tebow was named the National Football Foundation Campbell Trophy winner and became a 3-time SEC Offensive Player of the Year. He also cemented himself as a legend in Gainesville, setting 28 school records with the Gators, who finished a ridiculous 48-7 during his time as the starting quarterback.
