Todd Grantham has guided Florida’s defense with mixed results since the 2018 season. He also has experience at Mississippi State and Georgia during his lengthy coaching career.
But, Grantham was let go from Florida during the disappointing 2021 season, leaving him looking for a new job.
Now, it appears he’s landed on his feet, as Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports reports Grantham is accepting a job at Alabama as an analyst:
Ex-Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham has accepted a job as an analyst at Alabama, sources tell @on3sports.
Grantham, whom @johndbrice1 previously mentioned as a possibility to join the Tide, is expected to start work in Tuscaloosa this week.https://t.co/k5bN5NhJoE

Grantham is far from the first big-name coach who would end up in Nick Saban’s coaching rehab clinic. Saban has sent guys like Butch Jones, Mike Locksley, Steve Sarkisian, Lane Kiffin and others on to new head coaching jobs after they spent time in Tuscaloosa.
We’ll see what the future holds for Grantham, but this is a very low-risk move to bring him in as an off-the-field analyst.
