Alabama is redefining the meaning of “scoring defense.”
The Crimson Tide has 10 non-offensive touchdowns this season — eight of which have been scored by its defense —and has scored in such a manner in all seven games this season. It didn’t take long for Alabama to add to its total against Tennessee with Ronnie Harrison’s 58-yard interception return for a touchdown late in the first quarter.
We all know Alabama’s defense has been unreal in the scoring department this season, but these five stats illustrate just how special of a year the unit is having.
Against FBS opponents this season, Alabama's defense has scored more points per drive (0.76) than Rutgers' offense (0.74).
